Programs

"You know that tingle/chill you get when something truly amazing is happening?  I get that about five times a day at Washington Business Week...." -Sandy Leek, Puget Sound Energy (WWU 2008 CA)

Our Judges make sure the rubber meets the road.

There are three types of judges in the Washington Business Week program.

Marketing Judges

Marketing presentations are prepared by the students to demonstrate how they will market their products. The presentations are judged on creativity, strategy, clarity of message and overall effectiveness or their approach.

Stockholder Judges

Stockholder presentations focus on the company's financial performance, and how well the students articulate what they've learned. Presentations earn points for identifying the operations of a company and how it relates to business in general.

Trade Show Judges

Our trade show is an energy-packed event where students showcase their company's performance, its product and services. The objective is to convince you, a potential investor, that their company would be a good investment based on the student company’s critical analysis of the market demand, target audience, and profitability of the venture. We load you up with some Business Week dollars to invest in the companies you see as the strongest.

Washington Business Week offers high school students week-long summer camps and in-school programs during the academic school year. The teen summer program provides hands-on career training in business, healthcare, construction, and manufacturing. Summer camps are held throughout Washington (WA). Look for teen summer camps in Tacoma, Ellensburg, Bellingham and Spokane.  Washington Business Week and the Pathways are programs of the Foundation for Private Enterprise Education, a 501(c)(3) organization.
