How much does it cost to attend a program?
Residential and Non Residential Programs
The full cost of residential tuition is $1,620 and non-residential tuition is $1,150, but thanks to our generous sponsors, every student is granted reduced tuition. We also offer merit-based and need-based tuition assistance to reduce the cost even further for students who qualify. Register by March 31st and get the early bird price of $825 (plus a $4.95 registration fee) for the Seattle University program and $375 (plus a $4.95 registration fee) for Renton Technical College and University of Washington Tacoma programs! Registration fees will increase closer to the program date.
Please note to apply for the Merit-Based Scholarship and Need-Based Financial Assistance before you register for summer programs. Students can apply starting on November 30th, 2018 and applications are due by June 1st, 2019.
We offer two forms of Tuition Assistance:
1. Merit-Based Scholarships
Our Tuition Assistance Committee does not rely on any one criteria for our merit-based scholarships, but rather looks at the “whole student” – well-roundedness, community involvement, and demonstrated commitment to learning are a few of many qualities our committee values.
In order to be considered for the merit scholarship application, students must ask their school advisor to complete the Merit Based Scholarship Advisor Form prior to starting the application. Please note that this form must be completed prior to applying for the scholarship.
After your advisor has completed the Merit Based Scholarship Advisor Form, please click the link to access the Merit Based Scholarship Application. Your application will be reviewed within 2 weeks of when it is submitted, and WBW staff will contact you with the scholarship information needed at registration. Students that qualify for the Merit Based Scholarship will receive 12% off of their tuition.
2. Need-Based Financial Assistance
If you are on free/reduced lunch or experiencing financial hardship, we recommend that you apply for financial aid. Washington Business Week strives to make our programs available to as many students and families as possible. We welcome participation of youth without regard to race, gender, religion, disability, academic standing or economic status.
Students who receive free or reduced lunch and wish to apply for financial aid must have their school advisor complete the Financial Aid Advisor Form prior to starting the application. Please note that this form must be completed prior to applying for financial aid and students that qualify will automatically receive 50% off of their tuition.
After your advisor has completed the Financial Aid Advisor Form, please click the link to access the Financial Aid Application.
Families may apply for one or both types of tuition assistance. Please note that 100% assistance is not awarded (students may qualify for up to 80% off of their tuition to attend the program), and due to limited tuition assistance funds, we are not able to guarantee awards for every applicant, so it is important to apply as soon as possible.
*Milgard School of Business is sponsoring 10 students, preferably from the South Sound area and in need of financial assistance, to attend the University of Washington Tacoma Business Program. Students that apply for financial assistance and meet the criteria (i.e. living in the South Sound area and need tuition assistance) will be contacted by the Business Week Office in regards to the scholarship. This is on a first come, first serve basis with the deadline set for March 31st, 2019.
