Earn 2 College Credits

Apply for college credit: online or pdf

Only $75 for 2 elective credits!

Due to our partnership with the Edmonds Community College, we are able to offer two elective college credits for students successfully completing the 2013 Business Week Summer Programs in business*, healthcare, energy, agriculture and manufacturing. This is a great opportunity to get a jump start on college – so don’t miss out! In fact, at some colleges incoming freshmen who have some college credits already get to register for classes before those who have no credits.

Edmonds Community College (EdCC) has created specific courses for the Business Week Programs worth two elective credits that may be applied toward management, healthcare, energy and manufacturing degree options at EdCC. These courses may also be recognized as elective credits at other colleges, however it is up to each student to identify if and how credits will transfer to their intended college.

All* participants are able to benefit from a reduced tuition rate of $75 (the typical community college tuition for two credits is about $200). These credits are optional, and the $75 fee is in addition to your registration fee for the Business Week Program. These two college credits are earned by fully participating in any* of our one-week programs. There will be no additional tests or written papers required. The grade will be “S” (satisfactory). Business Week will make the determination on each application for college credit whether or not that the student has satisfactorily participated in the program. If it is determined that a student has not completed the program outcomes successfully, the registration form and payment for college credit will be returned to the student.

To register for college credits, you will need to complete either an online or pdf college credit registration form. You can register for college credit prior to the program or bring the form with you to the program. Your check or money order should be made payable to Washington Business Week in the amount of $75.00. Cash and credit cards are also accepted. Washington Business Week is not able to provide financial assistance for the college credit fee.

Registration and payments for college credits will not be accepted beyond the completion of the program. Be sure to complete ALL required (highlighted) fields, especially the Social Security Number field. We will only accept registration forms that are complete.

You will receive a letter from the community college with directions telling you how to download your grade or request a college transcript from the college website. (If you attend a program at WWU or GU, you will be able download your transcript at the end of August. If you attend a program at CWU or PLU, you will be able to download your transcript at the end of December.)

If you have any questions – please contact the Business Week office. You can download a pdf of this information about college credits here.
