BusinessOvernight

Step into leadership. Build a business. Pitch your ideas.

Washington Business Week’s Business Pathway is a high-energy, hands-on summer program where high school students step into executive roles, lead a real-world business simulation, and pitch innovative ideas to investors — all in just one week.

Guided by mentors from the business community, students work through a college-level curriculum focused on leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, and innovation. Whether you’re interested in entrepreneurship or simply want to build skills for any career, Business Week helps you discover your strengths and explore what’s possible.

Be the first to enroll when 2026 programs launch!

What to expect in our Business program:

  • Dive into a Real-World Business Simulation

Students form a company and take on executive roles such as CEO, CFO, and CMO. Working in teams of 8–12 students from across the state and around the world, you’ll launch a product, make strategic decisions, and compete in a dynamic business simulation.

  • Learn from Business Leaders & Mentors

Throughout the week, you’ll hear from C-level executives, successful alumni, and college professors. Each company is mentored by a business professional who guides students through challenges and shares real-world insights.

  • Develop and Pitch a World-Changing Idea

From product development to marketing and finance, you’ll create a new venture and present your work in a simulated investor meeting. The week culminates in a Shark Tank–style pitch to business leaders.

  • Build Skills That Last a Lifetime

Students sharpen essential skills including leadership, public speaking, teamwork, critical thinking, networking, finance, entrepreneurship, and marketing, skills that apply to any future path.

  • Experience College Life & Build Your Network

Learn on a college campus, experience university-level coursework, and make lifelong friendships. You’ll connect with today’s business leaders and the future leaders sitting next to you.

  • Have Fun Along the Way

While we mean business, this is still summer camp. Students enjoy games, social activities, a dance, and free time to relax and connect with others at WBW.
