Business week was a mutually beneficial experience for me. I volunteered to impress my boss, but spending time with so many ambitious young people, rekindled my belief in volunteering for events like this. Nice work Business Week, our future is brighter with programs like this.
Thank you to everyone who served as a Judge in 2021. We look forward to announcing the In-School and 2022 Program volunteer opportunities shortly.
Impact the Leaders of Tomorrow—Be a VIRTUAL Judge
Now you can make a difference for the next generation with only a few hours. At Washington Business Week, high school students learn crucial life skills as they role-play as industry professionals, launch a company, and solve real-world challenges. Who will be the winning team? You be the judge!
At our end-of-week competition, the fresh faces and questions of the judges are what make our events both challenging and unforgettable. You’ll return to work on Monday refreshed and inspired by the innovation and teamwork of the next generation.
At the Stockholders Presentations, evaluate student performance as they run a business using our new business simulation software WILE -Washington’s Innovative Learning Environment, and provide feedback on the quality of their presentation and teamwork. Questions are provided in advance.
Judging is held on the last day of the selected program week virtually. We will be using Zoom for the student presentations. Judges will receive an automatic confirmation when they sign up for judging. WBW staff will contact judges a week prior to the judging date with information and calendar invites.
